The Diocese of Peoria is planning to meet with officials from the University of Illinois to discuss the case of a professor of Catholicism who was recently fired after an anonymous student complained that his teaching of the Church’s position on homosexuality amounted to “hate speech.”

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) infuriated pro-abortion groups when it took steps last week to implement a ban on funding abortions in state high-risk insurance pools under the new health care law after a national pro-life group exposed a loophole in the law.

Proponents of traditional marriage are vowing to continue the fight for the right to vote on same-sex marriage after a sharply divided D.C. Court of Appeals decided that because the traditional concept of marriage between one man and one woman is discriminatory, citizens should not have an opportunity to vote on the matter.
