According to our guest, Dr. Richard Fitzgibbons, a controlling spouse is one of the great causes for a marriage to fail. Bishop Bruskewitz writes "It is a flawed marriage that smothers every vestige of the 'inner person' or that is hyper-possevice because of a lack of trust or because of a false love that disguises possession, ownership, or manipulation."
